On June 21st, a memorial was dedicated to both Challenger's and Columbia's lost crews at the Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood. It is right next to the Portal of Folded Wings Shrine to Aviation, which is the final resting place for a number of aviation pioneers.
Vance Brand and Wally Funk were the special guest speakers at the dedication, and Wally sent me some photos and a copy of the program that I thought others might wish to see. Given our book title, I was particularly intrigued by the use of the line "Into That Silence Sea" on the program...

Is the orbiter in the memorial labeled Columbia on one side and Challenger on the other? I thought I noticed the name Challenger and the STS-51L emblem under the PLT's cockpit window.

I believe so - the second photo is taken from further away, but on the original I can just make out the STS-107 logo on the other side. I'll have to make a personal visit next time I am up that way.
