Just read in the June 2008 issue of "Flight Journal" magazine that Fertile Myrtle, the B-29 bomber (later Navy P2B-1S), that was used to carry the Douglas D-558-II Skyrocket rocketplane aloft 139 times is still in existence! The nose section is on display at the Florida Air Museum in Lakeland, Fl. The remainder of the plane is in storage in the California desert.

All times are CT (US)
