I find myself coming to the US at the beginning of March for a three month stay. I'll be in Florida, way up in the Sandestin area, a little ways from Pensacola.Any people in the locale who'd like to catch up for a quiet beer or ten and discuss Apollo with a fellow nutter? Also, any space sights I should see (other than the Naval museum, which I plan to see)? |

Huntsville, Alabama is not too far away, the Apollo 16 CM is there, a Saturn V and lots of other goodies. |

The Naval Aviation Museum is spectacular. Make sure you see a Blue Angels practice (or 2) also. |

The Naval Aviation Museum is a good visit, but Huntsville is a scant 5 and a half hours away. If you're here for 3 months, it's a great weekend trip. |

About 160 miles west of Pensacola is the Stennis Space Center. It is a great place to visit with the Apollo 4 CM and the tours of the engine test stands. From their web site: Tours of StenniSphere depart from the Launch Pad at the Hancock County Welcome Center west of Bay St. Louis, Miss., on I-10 at Exit 2 - just 48 miles west of Biloxi |

Also at Pensacola is the Skylab 4 Capsule on display as well as an Apollo Boilerplate mock-up. |

See what's at the Pensacola National Museum of Naval Aviation and what to see at Stennis Space Center. Both are wonderful museums that are often overlooked by space enthusiasts. |

If you're going to Stennis, the Michoud Assembly Facility (home of S-IC-15) is less than 40 miles farther. And, while not space-related, when driving from Pensacola to Stennis, I-10 will take you right past the USS Alabama, a WWII battleship. Touring the battleship is absolutely incredible, plus you also get to tour the USS Drum, a WWII submarine. |

Any places around Titusville apart from KSC / AHF / Vigilant Air Command worth seeing? |

The Space Walk of Fame in Titusville is fun to walk around in as well. Robert, whom is on the board I believe could speak to it better than I can, but it is a terrific collection of artifacts from various space workers. The people there are great to chat with too. Make sure you get there. |

Oh, by the way, no-one mentioned the USAF Air Armaments Museum at Eglin AFB. No space related stuff, but it has a fantastic array of aircraft. |
