This touchdown of Space Shuttle Discovery on Runway 15 of the Shuttle Landing Facility marked the first night landing at the Kennedy Space Center for the Shuttle program. Main gear touchdown occurred at 3:56:07 a.m. EDT on September 22, 1993, completing the highly suuccessful STS-51 mission..
