Gemini 11 astronauts Pete Conrad (left) and Dick Gordon with Gordon's daughter Diane, several days before launch in September 1966.

Thank you for this. Easy to forget the human factor in the early program. Gordon would be putting his life on the line for country in just days. Good to see a human moment of father and daughter prior to the mission. Wish Pete had been in the picture as well.

In above posting "wishing Pete had been in the picture as well," that's Pete Conrad on the left, or do you mean that Pete's family is not included?

Ken -Thanks. How stupid of me. For whatever reason I thought I was looking at Tom Stafford instead of Conrad. My day is now complete.

Dick Gordon looked like a bit to the British actor Patrick McNee ("John Steed of "The Avengers").
