Fish-eye camera lens depicts the final launch preparations for Gemini 9 in the white room atop Launch Complex 19 at Cape Kennedy on June 1, 1966. Astronauts Tom Stafford and Gene Cernan are inside the spacecraft with the hatches closed. This launch attempt was postponed because the ground electronics command system was unable to send parameters to the Gemini 9 spacecraft onboard computer.

Thanks for posting yet another great image Ed, I find these images to be a fascinating and valuable reflection of the past and a great token of appreciation toward all who participated.

It looks as crowded and claustrophobic as I'd heard!

A particularly cool photo because of the fish-eye lens. Awesome.
