This view of Space Shuttle Atlantis was taken by one of the two Mir-21 cosmonauts onboard Russia's space station, during STS-76 rendezvous and docking operations on March 23, 1996. With the subsequent delivery of astronaut Shannon Lucid to Mir, the Mir-21 crew grew to three. Lucid returned to Earth on STS-79 after a record of 188 days in space.
