So this would be a post-flight photo. I wonder if he was suited up for another reason, or just to take the photo.

It looks like it says G. Carr on his name tag, so I do not think it is his primary suit. It is probably the same suit he wore in the Skylab 4 crew photo ("Class III Not for Flight"). That also had a G. Carr name tag.
It could be Lousma's flown suit 635, which was reused as Carr's backup suit.
