Astronaut Vance Brand takes a last look at the real world before the hatch of the Apollo 2TV-1 spacecraft in the vacuum chamber at JSC is closed for a week-long thermal-vacuum test of the new spacecraft. Joe Kerwin is on the left and Joe Engle's arm can be seen on the right.

It must have been a traumatic experience, since they turned into hippies after it was all over!
