Forty years ago today, the Apollo 11 astronauts were in quarantine in the Lunar Receiving Laboratory. They were busy being debriefed, writing their post-flight reports and taking a look at the photos that they took during the flight. Here they are looking at magazine AS11-37, containing photos of the lunar surface taken after the EVA from the LM window. These were among the first to be released to the press. Ed Hengeveld |

I see a look of quiet satisfaction in Collins and Armstrong's faces, while Aldrin, always the scientific type, seems to be figuring something out. Another winner Ed! |

"Oh look Neil, here's one of y...no that's me. What about this one? No, no that's me too. Is there another roll of film around here we haven't looked through yet?" |

It's interesting that they're just looking at the roll of negatives on a light table. Aldrin has the magnifier. |
