Lifting body pilot Bill Dana discusses the flight program of the rebuilt M2-F3 (seen in background) with Neil Armstrong at NASA's Flight Research Center in early 1970. After his Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong became the NASA Deputy Associate Administrator for Aeronautics, responsible for the lifting body program. Both men are also former X-15 pilots for FRC.
