This nice red-white-and-blue image was recorded on July 4, 1982, at Edwards AFB. President and Mrs. Reagan prepare to watch the landing of STS-4, together with astronauts from STS-1, 2 and 3. According to Time magazine the astronauts were instructed to wear their blue flightsuits to present a pretty Fourth of July picture.

Reminds me of the story that Tom Jones writes about in his book "Skywalking" of the STS-98 crew visiting President Bush at the White House and being told to wear their flight suits only to find out once they arrived that coats and ties were preferred.
