And now for something completely different: this photo is from an ad in the issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology dated January 6, 1969. ‘Lunar orbit is no place to be alone’ was the slogan Fairchild used to advertise the company’s supporting work for the Apollo program. Fairchild Semiconductors made the integrated circuits for the Apollo Guidance Computer. Ed Hengeveld [Edited by heng44 (September 02, 2006).] |

Anyone know who she is? She reminds me a lot of actress Diana Muldaur. |

It's probably just an anonymous model. Not even a Fairchild employee...Ed |

She looks somewhat like the bikini-clad actress (?) shown in the CM in the Apollo 12 gag film!Bruce |

I thought up of a couple of captions."Sorry Swigert, she won't fit in your PPK." "Commander, look what I found, a stowaway". "NO SIR, I have no idea how Brandy got on board !!! ". "Now if we can only figure out which locker she'll fit in". "The 4th and quickly created crew member slot, "director of IVA" (internal vehicular activities), will be responsible for all inflight entertainment and will not be joining the 2 astronauts on the moon". "Hi guys, where's my room???" "The crew has elected to leave behind 1/2 of their food, all PPK's and 3 important science experiments, to make room for the new crew member". I could go on & on but Robert would have to delete most of it. |

That's Ann-Margret. She was so recognizable she required no identification. On edit: DH (darling husband) says this is not Ann-Margret. He's guessing one of the Bond girls. Then he shot his credibility by venturing Hedy Lamarr. LOL. Then he said, who did Petter Sellers marry. Britt Eklund, I said. Is it Britt? [Edited by KC Stoever (September 02, 2006).] |

Similar, but no, it's not Britt Ekland (shown here) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Britt8.jpg I think Ed is correct, this is an anonymous model. [Edited by FFrench (September 02, 2006).] |
