Two unusual portraits of the Gemini-4 crew, Jim McDivitt (left) and Ed White. Portraits of astronauts in their military uniforms are rare, although it has become practice for military Shuttle crews to also have a crew photo made in uniforms. These photos of McDivitt and White were taken in 1968 and 1966, respectively. Ed Hengeveld |

Ed,Eventhough I don't post on your extraordinary photos, I love every one of them and thanks for taking the time to put them up. Having just read Fallen Heros and about the kind of incredible person Ed White was, it's nice to see his USAF portrait. Both he and McDivitt are class acts, as are most of the astronaut corps.
