Who is the woman with Charlie Duke in this pic at MIT (source: We Hack the Moon):

Could it be Margaret Hamilton, director of the software engineering division of the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory?

The facial structure (e.g. chin) appears to match, but the hair style and glasses are different.

Robert, I had not thought of that and you very well could be right!

I'm guessing the picture is c. 1972 judging by the men's hairstyles and necktie widths - perhaps just before Apollo 16? I'm fairly certain Margaret Hamilton was still at MIT at that time. I wonder if she still lives in the Cambridge/Boston area? (about 25 miles east of me). Thanks!

Looking at the facial features and part in the hair, I do not think it is Margaret. She has some sort of uniform on... perhaps a cafeteria worker or nurse?

I really like the patterns on the shirts and ties from those days. In my opinion, some things never go out of style.

All times are CT (US)
