Is it me or are they really promoting this class of astronauts more than any of the other post 78 class?

For anyone interested, a fascinating interview with Jonny Kim has been posted today on YouTube by the Jocko Podcast.

In it, Kim describes, for the first time in public I believe, his exceptionally difficult upbringing.

A considerable amount of time is also spent discussing his experiences as a SEAL in Ramadi with Jocko Willink, who turns out to have been his former commander in Task Force Bruiser. It was interesting to learn, as a throwaway comment, that Willink was one of Kim's referees in his NASA application.

The complete interview is more than four hours long:

From 2017 class members Bob Hines now on the International Space Station:
Happy World Turtle Day from two Turtles in space aboard the space station. It's fitting that the cupola resembles a turtle shell, don't you think? And a special shout-out to all our Turtle classmates back home. Jessica Watkins and I wish you were here!
