On International Women's Day let's celebrate what a NASA Astronaut looks like. From the astronaut mothers before me to mothers in all careers, I'm inspired by the trailblazing women who continue to crush their dream jobs while balancing a family.
Meir's message, which revealed she has given birth to a daughter, continued in an attached video:
This is what an astronaut looks like. We come in all shapes and sizes. If you didn't notice, my shape changed considerably last year.

Feeling inspired by the trailblazers who continue to crush their careers, while balancing a family. The sky is not the limit! Welcoming this new chapter in my life story.

But fear not, my sights remain set on future missions. Despite a pause in training, my sights remain set on future missions to explore, for her, and for all humankind.
