In Loudon Wainwright's March 3, 1961, profile of Gus Grissom in LIFE magazine (p. 29), the author quotes Gus Grissom as referring to a test flight (presumably at Wright-Patt) that "a lot of people thought... was downright suicidal."

Is anyone familiar with the details of this test mission?

All times are CT (US)
