Today (Aug.9) is Dee O'Hara's birthday. As everyone knows, she is the astronauts' nurse.

Dee, you are greatly appreciated in the space community, and among space fans. If you see this message, I just want to let you know that I met you in 2010 at the ASF autograph show. I was very nervous about being there, because I came by myself. You walked by and spoke to me, and that meant a lot to me. I appreciated that, and you.

You are my favorite. You are an inspiration to me. I was unable to go to the ASF show last year, but can't wait to see you at this year's event.

With all that being said, I hope you have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Birthday Dee! And many more. I'm privileged to have an autographed letter from her that I treasure.

I feel privileged to know this wonderful, gracious lady as a dear friend. My only regret is that geography keeps us from seeing each other as much as it does. Sincere good wishes for a terrific birthday, Dee. I'll hoist one for you later tonight.

Happy birthday, Dee! I've had the pleasure of speaking with you on a number of occasions as the ASF shows, and you are truly a delightful person.

Dee, you can't see it, but I am holding up a sign that says "I am needling you to celebrate a happy birthday" (okay, I'm not really holding up said sign, but it is the thought that counts).

I've been offline for a few days, so this thread is new to me. I hope you had a very happy birthday, Dee. I'm privileged to say that I have experienced firsthand what a wonderful and modest person you are. I wish you many, many more.

Happy Birthday Dee! They should put a picture of Dee in the dictionary next to the word "classy."
