As with any passing, very sad. His biography "The Making of an Ex-Astronaut" was one of the first astronaut biographies that I read around about 1971. In fact I suppose there were not that many around at that time? |

Sad to read of his passing and deepest sympathy to his family. About 15 years ago he made an appearance at a church off Piccadily in central London. When we entered the church, before the meeting began, we were greeted with lovely piano music in the background. It was only on nearing the stage that we realized it was Dr. O'Leary himself playing. He went on to give an interesting presentation on alternative sciences and thinking outside the box. At the end he answered questions, signed autographs and copies of his numerous books. A very talented man and prolific writer. Glad to have had the chance to meet him. |
