Tom Stafford made seven trips to the launch pad for his three flights earning him the title of "The Elevator Astronaut." I haven't followed the shuttle launches too closely so - does he still hold the title?

Need to look it up, but I suspect Story Musgrave beats that number.

Or Steven Hawley. He was tempted to wear a bag over his head on one of his missions so the orbiter would not recognize him.

Story Musgrave came to mind first, but Jerry Ross and Franklin Chang-Diaz each need one scrub in order to get to eight. Without checking, odds are it happened at least once to one or the other.

Steve Hawley has 11 scrubs for his five missions, that's still the record.
