Which astronauts, outside of the Houston Astros area, have thrown out the first pitch at baseball games around the country or world? Here are some from Fenway Park: Charlie Precourt; Cady Coleman and Stephanie Wilson; and Sunita Williams and Michael Lopez-Algeria. Others in New England: Jay Buckey (Fishercats); and Suni Williams (Falmouth, Cape Cod League). |

I believe that Clay Anderson threw out a first pitch last year at Kauffman Stadium (Kansas City Royals). |

The Baltimore Orioles' 2001 season was opened by Thomas Jones and Robert Curbeam. The STS-98 mission had been completed a few weeks earlier. This turned out to be Cal Ripken's final season. |

Wasn't there one last year from the ISS (for a Yankee game, I think)? |

Clay Anderson tossed one last year in Seattle before a Mariners vs. Twins game. - Terry Virts in 2008 at Baltimore
- Robert Cabana in 2008 at Minneapolis
- Gordon Fullerton in 2002 at Lancaster
That is all that came up on the first few Goggle screens. Fun question. |

Didn't Joseph Acaba throw a first pitch last year for the Orioles, part of the NASA in your community program, or whatever they were calling it?And wasn't their a first pitch from the space shuttle during a 90's post season game, maybe involving the Indians? |

John Glenn threw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Indians game against the New York Yankees on August 26, 2012. Prior to his throw, Glenn asked the crowd for a moment of silence to honor Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, who had died the day before at the age 82. |

Michael Collins threw the first pitch at Fenway Park. From Collins on Facebook: Thank you Boston Red Sox for hosting me. Great wind up, lousy pitch, but lots of fun! |
