Those are great pictures! A question for KSCartist, could I please use them in my school project on STS-118? I think they are so great and sum up the missions links to Challenger perfectly.

A great tribute indeed. Now would be a great time for us all to watch our copies of the christa mccauliffe reach for the stars documentary.

I have one question that has just popped into my head. Christa always said if she could she would like be get on the treadmill on orbit and begin her run as challenger was approaching the coast of the united states and run until challenger crossed to the other side thus having run accross the entire USA. I was just wondering does anyone know if Barbara Morgan did this during STS 118 at any time. Although i suspect if she did it would be a private moment and will not be shared with the public

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all of your good words. I hope to see many more pictures of similar signs from around the country. Just because you couldn't do it this week doesn't mean it won't be meaningful when you do.

If anyone wants to copy the photo of the sign and send it to any Challenger-related location, please do. I know we all feel the same way.

Seeing this photo of Tim with the two photos superb, a good finish to the end and finally that STS-51L crew are now laid in rest knowing that the mission is completed and the souls are still alive in our hearts, Barbara Morgan done the job for 2 people,(herself and Christa),now we moved on towards to the future, no looking back now....

With all the rain N.J. has been having, today was the first chance I had to pay tribute. Photos to be uploaded later, but at Windward Beach in Brick, I placed a Thank You card at the Challenger monument, inscribed to the crew with a "The mission continues!"

Unbeknownest to me, there also is a moument to the Columbia crew (the paper must not have covered its dedication...) Can't believe it'll be five years next year since STS-107.
