Has anyone documented when NASA's astronauts began wearing their dark blue flight suits at almost all public occasions? The blue flight suits first appeared in about 1977, but when did it become routine for astronauts to wear them instead of street clothes (jackets and ties, etc.) for TV appearances, public appearances, etc.
