The initial details have been posted on the Autographica website about this year's show. It will be held over the weekend of November 5 and 6, 2016 at the Radisson Blu, near Heathrow, London. There are no astronaut names identified as yet, however former SR-71 pilots Eldon "Al" Joersz and Joe Kinego are listed as guests. Editor's note: New dates: May 12-14, 2017. See below. |

I see Autographica 2017 has been postponed. It has become apparent that demand for this year's Autographica event is not here this year and therefore after much consideration we have decided to postpone this until another time. We know there is still demand for an event such as this, but it needs a strong headliner to make the event work and be successful. So what we plan to do is talk to some guests that we have been wanting to lock down for many years and get their availability and build the event around them. You will have some news on a future Autographica in the coming months. |

Makes me wonder if we'll see an Autographica again... last one was Sept '15? And a lot of chopping and changing since then, and now cancelled. The days of mingling over a weekend with three or four Apollo astronauts in Birmingham or London seem a very long time ago now... |

If the guys at Autographica make good on their efforts to secure one or two big name Apollo astronauts (and we all know who we would like to see) then there is still the possibility of an excellent show in the future. I wish them every success in so doing and would be the first to put my name down for a ticket should they be successful. But time is not on their side as recent events have sadly shown. |

Hopefully they will be able to organise another show even if on a smaller scale. I have been very fortunate to have met so many of my heroes at these events and at Autographica, when it was not so busy, you actually had time to speak to them personally, something I have always cherished. Thanks to the organisers for all they have done in the past and good luck in your plans if you do attempt to bring us another show. |

Having been to a few of these myself, I must say they are outstanding. It is difficult to arrange for the pre-shuttle types anymore, due to their ages. So if they can swing it, don't waste an opportunity — we're losing these guys far too fast. |
