The official photographer for the ASF event has put up a bunch of additional photos of the weekend, which can be downloaded or prints ordered.

I found a nice picture of Dave Scott and me taken while he was completing my Gemini 8 Agena photo previously signed by Neil Armstrong in 1967. (I also completed my Gemini 6 and 7 photos at the show).

This message is for poolman18: I have the item you asked me to have signed at the ASF but do not want to send it with out checking the address you wish me to send it to. I have had a hard time reaching you. If you could e-mail me offline I would appreciate it.

Sincere thanks to Gerry Montague for getting a Flown Apollo 8 item signed by James Lovell at the show. First class professional job. Thanks again Gerry.

Home again after my trip to the show and the STS-129 launch. I had a great time at the show. After very long and hard reconsideration I went to Buzz to have him sign an Apollo 11 pan and I was positively surprised. He was very friendly and talked about the pan and how to sign it. He also gave me a discount because I was from Germany and I was with my father. A "german father and son discount" fine with me!

I also got my flown Apollo 8 checklist page signed my Lovell.

The Dinner was also a lot of fun. It was the first time for me and I enjoyed every minute of it. Highlight of course was the presence of Neil but also meeting Charlie Bolden and Bill Anders.

Today I received a reminder in the mail as to one reason why the ASF show was so great. I don't know all their names, but the cast of ASF employees/volunteers does a fantastic job of managing logistics and everything else necessary to make the event run smoothly. During the Apollo 13 lunch I made a gesture to allow a couple to sit together instead of at separate tables. Unfortunately events progressed to where I was treated unfairly by another participant. Nicole Russ was there and we both just shook our heads. She thanked me and told me she would do something nice for me. I forgot about the incident in a day or 2, but today I received a nice thank you card from Nicole, along with a personalized 8x10 (or maybe it's an 10x8) signed by Al Worden. I can't believe she remembered. I'm already looking forward to next years event!

I just received the "Astronaut Scholarship Foundation 2009 Holiday Catalog' (a bit late) and it lists dates for the 2010 Astronaut Autograph & Memorabilia Show as Nov 6-7, just 2 days. Does anyone know for sure that the show has been shortened from 3 to 2 days, or is this just an oversight?

Maybe that's typo, of a sort. The ASF site, in the Calendar of Events section, gives the dates as Nov 5-7. They then promote the actual signings dates as Nov 6 & 7.

I checked last years catalog and it also gave only 2 days for the event, so I assume they are referring only to the autograph show and not the 3rd day of activities that some get to enjoy. The question is what will the ASF folks come with for next year (assuming there will be a 3rd day of activities) and what will it cost us?

Mel, your experience is another illustration of what a "class act" the ASF staff are. I've had excellent experiences in all of my interactions with them. Also looking forward to next November!
