Thanks for posting this, Mark. I used my card at that hotel that weekend, though I never received such a letter from the hotel.Thankfully my account looks clean as of this moment, but we we will all have to seriously monitor our accounts now. You deserve a big 'thank you' for posting this even if you only help 1 person. Jay |

I don't think it was just the Radisson there, either. I got a similar letter two weeks ago after staying in a Radisson in Philadelphia earlier this year. |

Sounds to me that there could be a problem with the security of card details at the Radisson group. When I got the email from Mark I checked my account and found close on $400 was missing but at the time they could not advise where the money had been charged to (I should find out later this morning). As a precaution, I canceled my card and a new one will be re-issued... also lodging a claim for fraud with my card provider. |

I checked my credit card and it seems everything was ok. Aside from the fact that my bar tab was higher than I would have wished. Seriously though I was wondering, if the people who were having trouble with their cards booked the hotel online through the web site or did they book directly with the hotel staff reservations over the phone? |

I booked over the telephone last year. But it has me a little concerned, because for this year's show we booked through the hotel web site. |

I also booked online.I re-read the letter from Radisson today and it appears the window for stolen credit card numbers went from November 2008 to May 2009. They didn't specify any specific locations, so maybe it applied to online orders collected by a central server that handles online reservations. (That's just a guess, however.) I'm not sure why Derek didn't get a letter, but I did...other than perhaps they didn't bother notifying overseas guests of the problem. Hopefully, the issue won't impact anyone who made their reservations for the 2009 show after May of this year. If you made your reservations before then, you may want to keep an eye on your account activity and/or call the Radisson if you have any concerns. |

Here’s something I’ve been meaning to add to this thread since I received the Kennedy Space Center newsletter in the mail a couple of months ago. There was an article about the upcoming ASF 2009 event, illustrated with this photo from the 2008 event:I recognize that fellow- I’m sure we talked a couple of times, but I have the same face/name recall skills as the average aardvark. If someone knows him, could you point this post out to him? He might enjoy knowing that he is the Official Face of the 2008 Astronaut Scholarship Foundation Astronaut Autograph and Memorabilia Show. I can mail him my copy of the newsletter if he wants it. Steve
