University Archives is holding a space memorabilia auction at 10:00 a.m. EDT on June 4, 2025. Space lots run from 144 to 252. If you enter "#spaceastronaut" in the search bar all space items will be featured. - Roger Chaffee's Apollo 1 helmet and glove cover with provenance from NASA and the Smithsonian is offered in lot 171 — This was used in preparation for the Apollo 1 mission.
- Lot 218 is one of a kind – 5he Apollo 13 console panel drawing prepared in Mission Control designating the setting of all circuit breakers and switches necessary to power up the CM. This drawing was prepared during the mission by one of the electrical engineers and comes with battery current hand plotted graphs, prepared post mission used in the investigation.
- The Apollo CM and LM had handrail systems on the outside to help the astronauts move between the two spacecraft. Lot 166 offers two early handrail prototypes and an emergency access wrench along with photos and documents used in the development of the system – this is believed to be the only time such items have ever been offered.
- We are fortunate to again offer one of the lunar module's triangular bulkhead windows – with the "Landing Point Designator" engraved on the window.
- There are three Gemini camera storage pouches designed for use in flight.
There are also many lots with beautiful vintage NASA color photos printed on "A Kodak Paper" including some from Apollo 11. Several lots offer portions of spacesuits, a boot bladder, an elbow joint and more. There are many additional autographs (including Gagarin, Armstrong, von Braun) and other unique items. | |
