Bid Again Auctions will hold a Space Memorabilia Auction on March 9, 2024 benefiting the American Space Museum in Titusville, Florida. Live bidding will begin on Invaluable at 12:00 p.m. EST.
More amazing space memorabilia goes to the highest bidder. Don't miss the chance to explore some of the uncommon items Bid Again Auctions put up for bid. They have been on the hunt to bring in some extraordinary space items for you to whet your appetite and perhaps even own.

This auction is going to be one of our best with plenty of lunar orbit and lunar landed items and a piston from the Crawler Transporter. But the best item in my opinion is:

The Grumman LM-5 Program Engineers Log Book that cover the journey of the Lunar Module "Eagle" from delivery to Kennedy Space Center up to the day of launch for Apollo 11 on July 16, 1969. This is an amazing piece of history. Along with interior LM-5 photographs taken just 14 days before launch, just amazing.

I could not find either of those items at the auction linked above. Are they still there?

Looks like the link is for the Feb. 3 auction not the March auction.

The link is to Bid Again's landing page on Invaluable. When the March auction is available, it will be listed on the same page.

The March auction is scheduled to go live on Feb. 10th. I am very excited and will link some to the items here after the auction goes live.

Our auction is now online. the LM-5 Logbook has been removed by the consignor. I am as sad as anyone looking forward to seeing this historic lot.

A few of the very hard to find items in our March 9th auction:
  • Lot 52: Signed by Wernher Von Braun, Samuel Phillips, Robert Gilruth and Kurt Debus. a great item

  • Lot 84: Apollo 8 Crew Beta Cloth Name Tags

  • Lot 119: Apollo 11 Flown To The Moon Robbins Medallion

  • Lot 166: Apollo 14 Flown to the Moon Flag Lucite

This is one of only two examples flown on the mission!

Regarding Lot 166, is there documentation you can share which shows only two of these flags were flown? I ask because I happen to own one of these myself, but had no idea that was the case. If you can provide a scan of the page showing this, I would appreciate it, and of course so would the potential bidder of yours! Thank you.

Thanks - I have been aware of that previous discussion, but unfortunately it is still conjecture. I even contacted Mr. McGlynn offline and still neither he nor anyone else has been able to provide this manifest document.

So I hope now perhaps this auction house has it?

I do not have the stowage list.

I have known Larry for many years and if he tells me he has seen the list I have no reason to doubt him. He has assisted me in several other items in the past so given the common sense that this was flown for an individual we can assume a very limited number where flown. In my 40+ years of space collecting this is the only example I have seen, but my information is based from Larry's assertion.

Also see the RR listing where I assume you purchased your lucite.

Thanks for the reply but no, I did not purchase mine from RR Auction. Mine was purchased on eBay from a seller in Southern California in October 2021.

To give you an idea to the extent I have tried to obtain this document, I was even in contact a few years ago with Stu Roosa’s daughter, Rosemary, who also was unable to locate it.

Just got me an email to see if I had a lot that had been passed on, was that you or someone else? If not, may I ask what lot number it was?

I'll let the auction head, Chuck, know in case it wasn't my lot and let Chuck know either way.

All times are CT (US)
