Man & Space: Original NASA Photographs at Auction

We are now offering a large private collection at Online Auction on 23 March with approx. 200 original NASA photographs from the golden age of Space Exploration. The collection includes, among other images, the first US spacewalk, the first rendezvous of spacecrafts and of course Apollo 11's historic landing on the moon. You will also find some of the few images taken during the infamous Apollo 13 mission, where the lives of three astronauts hung by the thinnest thread imaginable – far from our safe life here on earth.

The space race in the middle of the 20th century offered many historic moments, where derring-do and technical achievements went hand in hand to push the limits of humanity's reach into deep space. However, it was far from risk-free voyages of discovery the astronauts undertook at the time, and complications arose along the way, sometimes resulting in the loss of human life.
