The next Ira & Larry Goldberg Auctioneers' space memorabilia auction is scheduled for June 2, 2022, day two of the Spring Collectables sale. The day starts at 10 a.m. Pacific; the space portion begins with meteorites, lot number 691.Every space sale is unique and this one has some outstanding and historic items. Trinite from the first Atomic Bomb test, a flown Double Eagle II Balloon cover, early lunar photographs and of course an array of items from the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, shuttle and Russian programs.
Don't miss several items from lunar spacesuits such as the spacesuit pressure gauge (A7L or A7LB). Several 16mm film reels, plus 70mm film positive rolls from the Dick Underwood collection.
All spacesuit gloves were made based on hand molds of the individual astronauts, lot 749 is one of the molds. There are several lots of flown Kapton from Apollo 13. An unusual item is a lucite display with a very early Bell Telephone solar cell.
Lot 790 is a set of Skylab 2 Apollo-Saturn Countdown Demonstration Manuals. And one more lot – a bin of Dick Underwood's space related reference material.
