The Goldberg space memorabilia auction is scheduled for Sunday, July 28 10AM Pacific time.As we all know this is the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. And there have been several significant space sales over the past few months – now Goldberg's auction has some outstanding memorabilia that will excite everyone interested in space. The cover of the catalog features an original Alan Bean painting and Goldberg's is proud to offer his "Beyond a Young Boys Dream," textured acrylic on board. Other highlights include offerings from Deke Slayton's estate several amazing artifacts including the flown ASTP CM Rotation Hand Controller along with other flown artifacts all previously displayed at the Kennedy Space Center. For Gemini collectors there is a very rare complete set of Gemini Fliteline silver medallions beautifully presented. There are non-encapsulated aft heatshield bolt plugs from Apollo 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 with NASA yellow decommission tags for each. Flown Kapton from Apollo 11 and 13. A launch complex 39A Light Fixture. Apollo Space Suit hand molds used to make the space suit gloves of an Apollo astronaut. Several pieces of space suit hardware including a rare Gemini space suit tether hook mechanism, two space suit pressure gauges "Block 1" type for Apollo 1 suits and "A7L" gauge for EVA suits including moon walkers. |

Some nice bargains in the unflown Robbins medals. Someone got in my opinion a real value on the set of three. Wish I had bid on them. |

I put in a bid on something and the little wheel just kept spinning and spinning until finally it went on to the next item. Someone else got a real nice bargain. |

Live bidding worked okay for me on the Goldberg site. |

Goldberg's online bidding was also good for me (I was bidding from UK). my internet went down during one crucial session but that was entirely at my end. I have to say Goldbergs have been a joy to deal with (I can now compare between a few US auction houses — watch this space!) |
