Virgin Galactic release 'Galactic 04' Mission Marks Virgin Galactic's Fifth Spaceflight in Five MonthsFlight Window Opens October 5, 2023 Virgin Galactic today (Sept. 14) announced the 'Galactic 04' flight window will open October 5, 2023. This would be the Company's fifth spaceflight this year and ninth spaceflight to date, further demonstrating Virgin Galactic's ability to deliver safe, repeatable spaceflight and a transformative customer experience. The three private astronauts aboard 'Galactic 04' bring different backgrounds and cultures to the mission, along with a shared passion for space, exploration and adventure: - Astronaut 017 - From the United States
- Astronaut 018 - From the United Kingdom
- Astronaut 019 - From Pakistan, marking first person to fly to space from this country
The Virgin Galactic crew includes: - VSS Unity Commander Kelly Latimer and Pilot CJ Sturckow
- VMS Eve Commander Nicola Pecile and Pilot Jameel Janjua
- Astronaut Instructor Beth Moses

The three passengers have been revealed (via X): - Astronaut 017 - Ron Rosano, NASA Solar System Ambassador, lifelong astronomy educator, from Muir Beach, California
- Astronaut 018 - Trevor Beattie, advertising executive, from Birmingham, England (UK)
- Astronaut 019 - Namira Salim, performing artist, first Pakistani to have reached both the North Pole and the South Pole, will be the first from Pakistan to fly into space.

Virgin Galactic update Launch update: The Galactic 04 spaceflight will now take place on the second day of our flight window – Friday, October 6 — to give our team an additional day to complete vehicle prep and checks. We look forward to taking to the skies in a few days! |

The first two flights were streamed on YouTube by Virgin Galactic. Galactic 03 was not and there has been no word about a webcast for Galactic 04.The company, however, does release flight highlight videos usually within hours of Unity landing and provides live updates on social media. |

Virgin Galactic release Virgin Galactic Completes Fifth Successful Human Spaceflight in Five Months'Galactic 04' mission further demonstrates repeatable spaceflight Virgin Galactic today (Oct. 6) announced the completion of its fifth successful human space mission in five months, 'Galactic 04.' Michael Colglazier, CEO of Virgin Galactic, said: "Our teams in New Mexico and California have delivered on our monthly spaceflight objectives. Three new astronauts journeyed to space today and brought back incredible memories and stories of their experience above the Earth. These early missions with our initial ship, VSS Unity, have informed and confirmed the design and maintenance objectives for our Delta class spaceships, and the production tooling for those ships is on track to commence later in the fourth quarter." Onboard 'Galactic 04': - Astronaut 017 Ron Rosano from the United States of America.
- Astronaut 018 Trevor Beattie from the United Kingdom.
- Astronaut 019 Namira Salim from Pakistan, marking the first person to fly to space from that country. Salim is also a resident of the United Arab Emirates and of Monaco.
VSS Unity was piloted by Commander Kelly Latimer and Pilot CJ Sturckow, with Chief Astronaut Instructor Beth Moses on board. VMS Eve was piloted by Commander Nicola Pecile and Pilot Jameel Janjua.The Company will now proceed with post-flight inspections and analysis in preparation for the next commercial space mission, 'Galactic 05'.
