Roscosmos has named the Soyuz MS-24 crew:
  • Oleg Kononenko, Roscosmos
  • Nikolai Chub, Roscosmos
  • Loral O'Hara, NASA
They will serve on the Expedition 70 and Expedition 71 crews after arriving at the space station in September.

Kononenko and Chub will spend a year aboard the space station, returning on Soyuz MS-25 in September 2024. O'Hara will land on Soyuz MS-24 with the short-stay Soyuz MS-25.

Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov has been withdrawn from the Soyuz MS-24 backup crew by the the recommendation of the medical commission.

Alexey Ovchinin will now backup both Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub. Tracy Dyson continues as backup to Loral O'Hara.
