I was recently reading some information on the flights of Soyuz 10 and 21 and was wondering if someone could elaborate:
  1. According to one book that I read, the Soyuz 10 air supply became toxic on landing and rendered Nikolai Rukavishnikov unconscious. Can anyone explain why?

  2. What happened in the case of Soyuz 21? The flight returned early during an emergency recovery window, and the things I have heard have ranged from interpersonal issues to a fire on board. Anyone have any thoughts?
