I was going to post this, really I was, but seeing Heng44's listings really gave me the impetus.There's a list of astronaut portraits by NASA ID number - now can someone or someones do a similar list of crew photos? I know it would be tedious, and probably near impossible - personally, I think I've seen more examples of gag and alternate CPs pre-51L than post-51L. But it would be neat to see such a list, and eventually, a scan of what those photos look like. Even if we start off with a word list (e.g., 51I - in military uniform; 51I - in NASA uniform; 51I - in crew hatch) that would be good. Anybody? Bueller, Bueller.... |

Hart, why don't you make a list of what you know exists, then I will add what I know. I assume you mean portraits out of the ordinary, not the usual crew photos?Bear in mind that most of these gag portraits don't have NASA ID numbers, because officially they don't exist. Ed |

I'm working on a list like that and consider crewphoto = Official Crewphoto + Prime & Back-Up crewphoto + Alternate crewphoto + total crew posing for an image (NOT snapshots of training). | |
