Novium is running a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the fourth edition of its Hoverpen Traverse, which features a cap that serves as a "magnetic suspension platform." In other words, it appears to float.

The campaign has been a success (they have raised almost $123,000, well above their initial $11,500 goal and there are still three days to go).

One of the style options is the Apollo edition:

The limited Apollo Edition of Hoverpen Traverse is inspired by the legendary Apollo moon mission. With a fragment of the Apollo 11 command module, this is a rare opportunity to own a piece of space history.

Like the window of the Apollo command module itself, the fragment sits suspended in time in a glass bubble on the pen's grip. Touch history with every jotted note.

Only 1969 Apollo Edition Hoverpens with command module foil will be made, and only 300 of these will be available on Kickstarter. Kickstarter backers will receive the first 300 of the batch. Don't miss your chance to own a piece of mankind's greatest achievement.

The authenticity of the command module sample has been certified and verified by retired NASA Production Control Engineer William R. Whipkey, who worked on the Apollo command module.

Every Apollo Edition Traverse comes with a metal, textured moon surface pen holder. There's no better way to display your Apollo Traverse than on this incredible lunar vista. Plus, every moon base and included metal plaque is engraved with a unique serial number. Earlier pledges receive earlier numbers.

The Apollo Edition Hoverpen Traverse is available for a pledge of $649 (a saving of 19 percent off retail). Shipping is expected in March 2026.
