At her post-landing news conference on Wednesday (Feb. 12), NASA astronaut Christina Koch described coming home after 328 days in space to be reunited with her dog. The first thing that I did after I went home was to reunite with my dog, which was wonderful. It was, she was very excited...My dog is, we call her LBD, "little Brown dog." She's from the humane society and she couldn't be sweeter. And yes, she was very excited. I was very excited. I'm not sure who was more excited to see the other. But luckily we have it all, we have footage of the whole thing, so I'm really happy with that. It's just a symbol of coming back to the people and places that you love to see your favorite animal. And then today, she released the video. Not sure who was more excited. Glad she remembers me after a year! |

That made my day, as it would for any dog 'parent.' I'm so glad that Mom/pooch got back together! |
