Dairy Queen whips up 'Zero Gravity' Blizzard for moon landing 50th

Dairy Queen is turning its celebration of the first moon landing upside down.

The soft serve ice cream chain has debuted the "Zero Gravity Blizzard," a cosmic-colored, frozen treat in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission. The "gravity-defying" dessert is available for a limited time only.

I say bring it on. Bring it all on.

We all bemoan when society does not pay enough attention to space exploration and its history. Regardless of motives, it is great to see so many brands attaching themselves to the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

Besides, there would be precedent for Apollo 11 toilet paper. It was that product in 1969 that resulted in NASA first putting restrictions on the commercial reproduction of its mission emblems. (That particular restriction was later lifted.)

I understand where you're coming from Robert; however I'm always wary of companies who have no connection to any program jumping on a bandwagon for strictly there own benefit. An exception is a charitable cause that benefits from any sales.

Having said that, if I was a kid today I would be bugging my parents to buy this stuff.
