On Tuesday, NBC debuted Maya & Marty, a new comedy variety show starring Maya Rudolph and Martin Short.

The premiere opened with a segment titled "The Astronaut," featuring Tom Hanks as a space station astronaut embarking on a five-year mission. You can watch it online here or below.

I was thrilled that he was wearing the Expedition 47 patch even though they changed the number to 49.

I know they couldn't use the real NASA meatball; but what's the 25 Mach patch? Did they use the real artwork or did they alter it?
