Congratulations Robert on your latest TV appearance. This time on "NASA's Unexplained Files" on the Science Channel. You have a long filmography now. Hope to see you soon on "Dancing With the Stars."

Thanks guys. I'm just thrilled to be sharing screen time on "NASA's Unexplained Files" with the likes of Andy Chaikin, Jim Oberg and Amy Shira Teitel.

I believe my segments air in five episodes this season, including "Rise of the Ice Creatures," "Ghosts on a Comet," "Curse of the Red Planet" and "The Moon that Disappeared."

Robert, I enjoyed your contribution describing the first space walk ever by cosmonaut Alexey Leonov. I did not realize what danger Leonov was in when outside the vehicle and then again later with the close call on the landing. This was the "Ghosts on a Comet" episode I believe.

Robert, any "inside baseball" comments to share with us from your TV appearances?

Robert, was that you on the phone in the latest episode of "American Pickers"? They did not mention your complete name.

The pickers found a rare NASA collectible worth $7,000 in a Houston garage.

That's a cool show (American Pickers)!

I'd love to go exploring barns, hangars and the like.

One of the only TV shows I can watch even if dubbed in French (although I would call it partial dubbing as the original voices can still be heard in the background).

Last night while watching "American Pickers" on tv, a rare Apollo model appeared. The "Pickers guys" called their friend Robert Pearlman for his advice and evaluation from photos. Although we didn't see Robert this time, we heard him, and he has another "tv credit" for his resume.

Editor's note: Threads merged.

I saw the American Pickers episode last night. I was curious who they would contact for an expert opinion and was pleased to hear a familiar voice on the line for the background and valuation. Robert? You mean The Robert?!! Well done! Frank noted that "we'd better take his call now 'cause he's a real busy guy." I guess we can expect a surge in attendance at local garage sales!

The episode is "One Giant Pick for Mankind."

I wondered at the time of doing it if anyone would recognize my voice... guess they did!

The episode is available online. The model part starts at 11:00, then they go on to some other things, then Robert's report starts at 18:20.

Episode aired Saturday night. I didn't see any credit to Robert and cS at the end. I'll have to watch it again!

As for the model, is it number 39 of the same model, or is it 39 of all different models that make up the Apollo Applications Program (AAP)? Since AAP is noted next to the model's number, I thought it was a collection of various models illustrating what could be done within AAP.

It would appear to be the same model (rather than a series) given that another example (referenced during my call on the show) is numbered 34.
