Do these hoaxers believe in other planets? Surely that's where they all came from.

Of course, it appears that the Guardian needs to brush up on its own research skills. I was unaware that Challenger blew up in 1981, and, apparently, that Judy Resnik was not on-board.

See, that's just the thing, the government has done such a good job covering it up that you think it happened in 1986.

I understand that Buzz is a devout Christian. He took communion on the Moon. I have no trouble accepting that he must have felt it highly insulting and disrespectful to have a Bible poked in his face like that.

To re-use an argument I have made before, if someone thrust a bible in my face and insisted that I swear that I really was married on 9th June, 1994, I would certainly refuse. It would be an insult to my intelligence, and a gross misuse of a Bible.

There is a time and a place to swear an oath on the Bible. Under duress and verbal assault is neither the time nor the place.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office announced on Sept. 20 that it would not file a misdemeanor battery charge against Apollo 11 astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin for striking Bart Sibrel on Sept. 9 in Beverly Hills.

That is the least the D.A. should have done. Now Congress should authorize a new special medal to honor Aldrin for meritorious service to his country by punching out a Class A jerk.
