Has anyone seen the film 'The Theory of Everything' starring Eddie Redmayne as Stephen Hawking?

I saw it last week and it is a very good recreation of his life as a student, his struggles with research, romance with his first wife, subsequent illness progressively getting worse and how they overcame all these gigantic hurdles before them. Surely an Oscar winning performance for Redmayne whom you very quickly assume is Hawking himself as it is so lifelike.

A sensitive film very well done.

Yes, I actually saw the preview showing a few days before the public saw it.

I made it a point to see Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes; Khan, in "Star Trek into Darkness," Oscar nominee for "The Imitation Game," and the 2004 Stephen Hawking! [British Film]) before Eddie Redmayne's performance.

I said to myself upon leaving the theater that Redmayne should get an Oscar nomination; I like Cumberbatch a lot but knew Redmayne's performance was a better one portraying the same person/character, though I'm sure the budget and director and screenplay were better ($).

Yes! I just saw it a few days ago, real good film about Stephen Hawking and the actors were spot on.

I looked at the actual photos of the couple and the actors, remarkable resemblance.

Funny parts, too.

Eddie Redmayne just won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actor for his portrayal. The SAGs are the closest indicators, generally, on who will win the Oscars, Academy Awards.

On edit: Eddie won it, he won the Best Actor Oscar '15!

I really enjoyed this movie. I agree, the Oscar was well deserved. Nice to see a movie that's not all CGI for a change.
