In 1970, Bobby Orr scored the winning goal over St. Louis to win the Stanley Cup. The Bruins have a chance to win the Cup again this year with two more wins over the Canucks.

There have been plently of astronauts who are sports fans but there are a few die hard Bruin fans still in the astronaut office.

Check out: Astronaut hits the ice from the Boston Globe...

...and Bob Thirsk during STS-78.

Go Bruins!

I've been following this site every day for many years, but I seldom post anything. But I just have to reply to this.

Hmmm... Colorado... Do they have a hockey team? Seems a certain Bruin changed uniforms so that state could win a Stanley Cup but it's been awhile.

So I'll see your GO CONUCKS... and raise you a GO BRUINS.

Two astronauts can't be wrong.

I'm 60 miles from Buffalo but if you look at my heart, it's got a big ol' black and gold B on it. GO BRUINS!! (and please, no too many men on the ice penalties tonight...)

As a hopelessly devoted fan of two things -- space and hockey -- I can't believe I've never seen that photo of Bob Thirsk re-enacting Bobby Orr "taking flight" after Orr scored that famous Cup-clinching goal. Awesome

I'm a Red Wings fan, but I'll add another "Let's go B's!"

PS for Ejectr: I attended Game 7 of the 2001 Finals. When Joe Sakic handed the Cup to Ray Bourque...I still get chills a decade later.

On a side note the owner of the Bruins is Jeremy Jacobs. He runs a "small" company that just picked up a shuttle for one of their parks.

Bryan, it's about time. The Bruins were lagging behind all the other real professional sports in Boston like baseball and football.
