So I recently purchased an white Apple iPad 2. I'm trying to come up with a NASA design to put around the screen side bezel. It's about an inch-wide band around the edge so squeezing in launch images would be difficult. Thinking about mission patches, vehicles, historic logos, etc. The backside is much easier to design a large scale display. Any collectSPACE community input would be appreciated. |

Does the iPad allow for a splash or background image (as I know the iPhone does)? If so, you could pick an image/photo and have it "spill" onto the bezel. For example, were you to use the Apollo 8 "Earthrise", then the the bezel would just have the black of the sky and a bit of the lunar surface, but when the iPad is turned on, the Earth would be there... |

Yes it does. However I'm not a fan of the bleeding wallpaper into edge designs. I do like to change to change the background frequently. Wanting to frame the screen without overpowering it. | |
