I was teaching space exploration to my Year 7 students this morning and the Teaching Assistant wrote us the following poem.I though it was nice and am posting with his permission. Moon Landing.Oh Moon, celestial guardian of the night. Benevolent place In the dark of space. Friendly satelite of our planet Earth, Watching Quietly Since its birth. Today I'll launch From here to space Soon to land on your smiling face. I hope to walk, Perhaps I'll drive, Upon your surface When I arrive. I'll do my best To inflict no pain Then you'll let me come again. Gazz 2010. (I was still writing the date!) |

Inspiring prose (appreciated by somebody not generally into the touchy-freely poem kind of thing!) | |
