That was kinda funny- but I wonder why they had only "nine men" as going to the moon? That's not some tiny nitpicking detail!

Ha. I'm not sure Little Britain needs a US counterpart, but that sketch was amusing. He doesn't look a thing like Jim Irwin, though

The choice of the "eighth man on the Moon" is a little cynical. You can imagine them running it past their legal department and getting the advice that dead men can't sue for defamation. That narrows the choice to No 3, No 5 and No 8. No. 3? No, too close to first. No. 5? No, Shepard was a millionaire. His family might still make trouble. No. 8? Perfect. Far enough down the line that "ordinary people" won't remember the real one.
Apart from that, it is quite funny (although I'm remembering it from TV several months ago. I can't play the video on CS). In fact, I suspect Jim Irwin might have allowed himself a smile.

I'm not so sure that Britain needs Little Britain. But the US has been remaking English comedy for years and not always very well it was only a matter of time.
