Robert Downey Jr.'s character in "Tropic Thunder" makes a very funny reference to a time when he portrayed Neil Armstrong in the (Mythical) movie "Moonshot"...if you get a chance to see "Tropic", it's ( in my opinion, of course..) a VERY funny movie!!

There's also a countdown reference in the beginning. The director starts a countdown so action. Stiller says "I don't need a countdown! What am I a rocket?"
