Just for fun while I'm waiting a car to bake in the booth- here's some space related color names of the 50s & 60s:

Sonic Blue - 1956 Cadillac
Starlite Gray - '57 Cadillac
Navajo Orange - '56 Chrysler
Saturn Blue - '57 Chrysler
Air Force Blue Poly - 1958 Chrysler
Star Sapphire - 1959 Dodge
Jet Stream Blue - 1959 Edsel
Satellite Blue - 1959 Mercury
Neptune Turquoise - 1959 Mercury
Polaris White - 1959 Oldsmobile
Vanguard Blue - 1959 Pontiac
Comet Red - 1960 Plymouth
White Sands - 1959 Studebaker
Lunar yellow - 1961 Chevrolet
Cape Blue - 1961 Chevrolet

There's others but it would take a while to type all them out. Keep in mind this is back when they styled cars to look like rockets & jets...
