I'm happy to announce that STS-121 was not the only successful launch on the 4th of July.

My son Alexander was born a few weeks early but perfectly healthy just a couple of hours before the STS-121 launch. I guess he just didn't want to miss it...

P.S. Multi-angle video footage of this event is NOT available for download.

Congrats!
What a story you'll have to tell him when he's old enough!

Congratulations and welcome to the world Alexander! I just hope he doesn't expect such a large candle to be lit every year on his birthday...

Spaced out-

Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of Alexander. I was at that other launch (the one in Florida) and hope that Alexander gets to experience that event as well.

Godspeed to you all.

Congratulations. That is great news. My niece, Alexandra, was born May 9. Perhaps she and her brother Daniel, age 2, will walk on Mars in a few decades. I just hope I am still here to see it.
