I'm happy to announce that STS-121 was not the only successful launch on the 4th of July.My son Alexander was born a few weeks early but perfectly healthy just a couple of hours before the STS-121 launch. I guess he just didn't want to miss it... ![](http://collectspace.com/ubb/smile.gif) P.S. Multi-angle video footage of this event is NOT available for download. |

Congratulations and welcome to the world Alexander! I just hope he doesn't expect such a large candle to be lit every year on his birthday... ![](http://collectspace.com/ubb/smile.gif) [This message has been edited by Robert Pearlman (edited July 11, 2006).] |

Spaced out-Congratulations to you and your family on the birth of Alexander. I was at that other launch (the one in Florida) and hope that Alexander gets to experience that event as well. Godspeed to you all. Tim |

Congratulations. That is great news. My niece, Alexandra, was born May 9. Perhaps she and her brother Daniel, age 2, will walk on Mars in a few decades. I just hope I am still here to see it. |
